Terms & Conditions
The plain-English terms that apply when you request a quote or book vehicle transport with HaulHero.
Effective date: August 20, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of haulheroautotransport.com and any vehicle transport you book through HaulHero Auto Transport ("HaulHero," "we," "us"), a federally licensed transportation broker (US DOT 4474718 · MC 1766476) based in Aurora, Colorado. By requesting a quote or booking a shipment, you agree to these Terms.
1. We are a licensed broker
HaulHero is an FMCSA-licensed auto transport broker, not a motor carrier. We arrange your shipment with independent, FMCSA-registered motor carriers whose operating authority and cargo insurance we verify before dispatch. The physical transport of your vehicle is performed by the assigned carrier under its own DOT authority.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Instant online quotes are estimates based on route, vehicle, season, and current market carrier rates. Your exact price is confirmed by a shipping coordinator before anything is booked.
- No deposit: you pay nothing until a carrier is assigned to your vehicle.
- The confirmed price is the price you pay. If market conditions require a change before dispatch, we will tell you first — you can accept or cancel at no cost.
3. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel free of charge at any time before a carrier is assigned to your shipment.
- After a carrier is assigned, cancellation may incur a fee to cover the carrier's committed slot. Your coordinator will tell you the applicable amount before you confirm the booking.
- If we cannot assign a carrier for your shipment, you owe nothing.
4. Pickup and delivery windows
Pickup and delivery dates are estimated windows, not guaranteed times. Weather, traffic, road restrictions, and mechanical issues can affect carrier schedules. Your coordinator and the carrier will keep you updated; the carrier will contact you before arrival at both ends. Door-to-door service means as close to your address as the truck can safely and legally get — for large carriers, that may be a nearby wide street or parking lot.
5. Preparing your vehicle
- Remove or secure loose items, toll tags, and valuables. Leave about a quarter tank of fuel.
- Personal items left in the vehicle are transported at your own risk, are not covered by the carrier's cargo insurance, and are subject to the carrier's weight and placement rules.
- Disclose the vehicle's true condition (operable or not, modifications, oversized dimensions). Inaccurate details can change the price or prevent the carrier from loading the vehicle.
6. Inspection, insurance, and claims
- At pickup, the carrier documents your vehicle's condition on a Bill of Lading (BOL). Review it and keep your copy — it is the controlling inspection record.
- Transport-related damage is covered by the assigned carrier's cargo insurance, which we verify before dispatch.
- At delivery, inspect the vehicle before signing the BOL and note any new damage on it. Claims for damage not noted at delivery are much harder to pursue. We will assist you in filing any claim with the carrier or its insurer.
7. Payment
Most shipments are split between a brokerage fee (charged when a carrier is assigned) and a carrier balance commonly paid at delivery by cash, certified funds, or the method the carrier accepts. Your coordinator confirms the exact payment structure with your booking.
8. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup, delivery, and contact information, and be reachable during transport.
- Ensure you (or an authorized adult) are present at pickup and delivery to sign the BOL and release or receive the vehicle.
- Late changes to addresses, dates, or vehicle details may change the price or delay the shipment.
9. Limitation of liability
As a broker, HaulHero's role is arranging transport with qualified carriers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of a shipment is limited to the brokerage fee you paid us for that shipment. Nothing in these Terms limits the assigned carrier's liability for cargo damage under federal law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Website use
Site content, quotes, and pricing tools are provided for arranging your own shipment and may not be scraped, resold, or misrepresented. We may update the site and these Terms at any time; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable federal transportation law. Before any formal proceeding, contact us — nearly every issue is resolved fastest by talking to your coordinator.
